Samsung unveiled its SideSync software along with the launch of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. SideSync allows users to seamlessly share screens, windows and data between the Galaxy device and a desktop computer.
SideSync provides users with the following features:
- Ability to make phone calls and respond to text messages on the desktop.
- Mirror the Phone Screen to the PC
- Control the phone with the keyboard and mouse.
- Share Files between the Samsung Device and the PC.
Since the SideSync Apk facilitates the communication between the smartphone and computer, users are required to download and install the application on the phone as well as the computer.
Before installing SideSync on the Windows PC, Mac or Android devices, it is recommended to check the system requirements and its compatibility. SideSync works on the specifications detailed below.

The following steps need to be adopted to install the SideSync application on the phone.
Download and install SideSync to your PC and Samsung device.

- Run SideSync on both the PC and Samsung mobile device.
- Connect the PC and the Samsung mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network via a USB cable.
Feature Navigation for SideSync
1. Mirror Phone Screen to PC
SideSync will mirror the mobile phone screen on the computer. This is achieved as follows:
Step 1: On the SideSync dashboard of the computer screen, click the “Phone Screen” button from the menu bar.
Step 2: The Phone screen will be displayed on your computer screen.
After the Phone screen is displayed on your PC screen, the user can increase or decrease its size or move it to any location on the PC screen.
2. Control Phone with Keyboard and Mouse
With SideSync, users will access to the keyboard as well as the mouse.
Step 1: On the SideSync dashboard, click MORE > Enable Keyboard and mouse sharing.
Step 2: Move the mouse pointer to the far left or right side of the computer screen.
Step 3: The mouse pointer will appear on the mobile device. Users can control the computer’s keyboard and mouse.
3. Share Files between Samsung Device and PC
SideSync enables sharing of files such as pictures, videos, songs and documents between the Samsung device and the computer.
Step 1: On the computer, open the location of the file that needs to be copied on to the device.
Step 2: Drag the selected file to the virtual mobile device screen. The file will be saved in the SideSync folder on the mobile.
4. Make Phone Calls and Send Text Messages from PC
Once the PC and Samsung device are connected with SideSync, the user can check for alarms pertaining to phone calls and text messages.
In the event of the need to recover calls and text messages which were accidentally deleted, users are advised to use Free Android Recovery, a freeware that helps to recover deleted call logs and text messages with ease.
SideSync provides a Favorites feature as well which enables the addition of certain features of the Smartphone on the PC’s Dashboard. Moreover, users are required to connect the Galaxy devices to their PCs only once. These paired devices will be re-connected automatically if they are in the same Wi-Fi connection.
